Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Dangerous Grains turns the U.S. Food Guide Pyramid upside down by exposing the myriad health risks posed by gluten grains (wheat, rye, barley, spelt, kamut, and triticale). The authors, leading experts in the field of food allergies, and celiac disease, present compelling evidence that our grain-centered diet is to blame for a host of chronic illnesses. Largely misunderstood and frequently misdiagnosed, these disorders can be prevented and reversed by the useful program outlined in this important new book.

5 out of 5 stars Gluten Enlightenment   May 2, 2010

Includes shocking information about the effects of gluten on the human body. After reading this it will be hard to eat any gluten anymore.

5 out of 5 stars Informative information   March 29, 2010
JBC (Canyon, TX USA)
this book I found is very helpful and informative for anyone suffering from chronic health issues. It really opened my eyes about what different grains especially glutenous grains can do to debilitate the body. I've recommended this book to several people who have constant health issues. I gave my book to a friend, but plan to get another copy for my own library of reference books.

4 out of 5 stars A lesson in how to really, truly be pain free   March 16, 2010

Most people who are in pain, at least from arthritis, as I have been or from migraines, as a friend of mine has been for the past 60 years, could be greatly helped by this book, which gives the basic facts about gluten-free eating and how it can change their life. Since I have avoided certan grains (wheat, rye, barley, oats, I have been pain-free and so has my friend, who was able to give up her headache medicine. This book speaks to the millions of pain-sufferers and to doctors, who know little about diet, showing how many of us, unknowingly, are allergic to certain grains and consuming those grains has been resonsible for very negative reactions. It's been a revelation for me with miraculous results. I have not not felt this good in years. the book provides support and details about the science and practicality of gluten-free eating.

5 out of 5 stars Well worth your time   February 1, 2010
D. Fuller (TX)
This is an excellent book on the problems of gluten in our diets. It is detailed in connecting the dots of diseases and gluten. A little medical and not easy to get through, but very informative about the life-time changes that are needed in American diets.

This book had the same old stuff in it that I have read many times before. The only additions were the evolution "facts" in it and there were a lot of them. That really ruined the whole book.
