| Customer Reviews:
Does everything it claims well July 20, 2010 Thomas Kiefer (Boston, Ma) Works well as advertised. Seems well constructed, with stainless exterior. Loaf size is a bit weird, as is usual with most breadmakers. I usually just make dough and then bake in convection oven with regular loaf pan. But it does have a huge range of choices for different kinds of bread.
Simply Stopped Working.... July 16, 2010 Margaret Schlegal (Denman Island, British Columbia, CA) I liked this machine fine for about three months, then it suddenly started making squealing sounds (so loud I'd have to leave the room). Shortly thereafter, the paddle took to turning only sporadically. I would take it back, but I lost my receipt. It's an expensive machine, and I purchased it based on good reviews, but I'm very disappointed in its poor quality.
Faulty pan July 11, 2010 Anothercook For starters this machine worked well, for the price.
Downsides;
1. It does not have adjustable rise time, would be handy for high altitude baking. Not a big issue though.
2. After 6 months of making one to two loaves per week, and the occasional jelly/jam (awsome setting by the way). the loaf pan began to leak through the bottom, and machine started making more noise. Continued use found greasey slime on bread dough. After inspecting pan I discovered the rivets that hold the beater frame to pan were loose and allowing liquids to leak! Also the beater shaft started getting loose and liquids would grind in it until a gray slime would emerge on bread.
3. Damage control. customer service was very helpful, asked me to mail in bread pan, no problem they would replace or fix as soon as possible. Well over a month later, I called hadn't recieved any news. They said pan is back ordered, no idea when a new one would be available. Interesting how they are not out of stock on Amazon or other internet suppliers.....
